Italian luxury hotel owner and developer Alessandro Rosso has come up with a unique luxury hotel concept which will be implemented in several major Italian cities. The hotels comprise of numerous luxury rooms all street level, in most cases former retail spaces. The rooms would all have a different design and offer the full range of five star facilities. The developer of the concept is the owner of the seven star luxury hotel Townhouse Galeria in Milan, an entrepreneur with a vast experience in hospitality. The financial crisis has made luxury hotels come up with innovative ideas to save costs while maintaining the same level of service. Such innovations are paying off, for instance THE ADDRESS Hotels chain in Dubai is charging guests for a 24 hour stay from the moment they check in and THE MONARCH Hotel (also in Dubai) is auctioning its rooms online, guests being able to bid for rooms. Other examples of hotel chains which are offering extra complimentary services - PARK HYATT Hotels offer complimentary internet access and frehs fruits daily to suite guests and SHANGRI LA Hotels offer complimentary internet in all room types.
