Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort & Spa, Maldives will be featured in the highly anticipated season finale of ABC’s The Bachelorette as the home of latest bachelorette, Becca Kufrin. The episode is scheduled to air on Monday 6th August bringing series 14 of the hit show to a close.
One of Ms. Kufrin’s final dates is aboard Shangri-La’s Horizon yacht. She also goes swimming and paddle boarding in a lagoon with one of her suitors.
The crew took advantage of the tropical setting, and filmed Ms. Kufrin on romantic strolls around the island. Expansive shots of the resort are featured throughout the teaser for the show’s finale.
Villingili’s pristine beaches, lagoon pools, lush jungle and dream villas form the backdrop for the upcoming episode. This idyllic private island in the heart-shaped Addu Atoll enchants Becca and her bachelors as they experience luxurious date nights aboard Shangri-La’s 21-metre Horizon yacht, romantic sunset strolls along the beach and intimate private dinners surrounded by coconut palms and towering banyan trees.
Part of the episode was filmed in the resort’s presidential villa, Villa Muthee, which is one of the largest overwater villas in the Maldives and offers a private infinity pool which runs the length of the terrace, a personal island host, a choice of both indoor and outdoor showers as well as a spectacular oval bathtub with infinity views over the Indian Ocean. Villa Muthee also boasts a home cinema, private spa pavilion and al fresco dining in a poolside pergola.
