Restaurant
Rutz Zollhaus
Located on the banks of Landwehr Kanal in Kreuzberg, this building, dating back to 1901, was originally a depot for the city cleaning service, later repurposed as a payment control point for steamships. Renovated in 2020, Rutz-Zollhaus combines its historical charm with modern elegance.
The interior features bright, sleek design elements alongside traditional wine cabinets and dry aging fridges. The menu, curated by head chef Florian Mennicken and kitchen director Marco Müller, offers German cuisine with a modern twist, highlighting regional flavors and Michelin-star expertise. With over 400 wines, including Grand Crus, restaurant manager Steffen Kellner ensures the perfect pairing for every dish. Enjoy a glass at the bar or terrace, and experience the legendary spirit of Rutz Weinbar.
Bar
Kink Bar (won best bar of the city in 2023)
At our bar, we’re not just mixing drinks – we’re also cooking, infusing, fermenting, and redistilling. We’re tech enthusiasts, and our rotary evaporator is a favorite gadget; you can see it in our lab beside the bar. With it, we craft homemade distillates for unique drinks and food pairings. It even produces water distillates for non-alcoholic drinks with full flavor. From herbs, spices, and natural ingredients, we make oils, essences, and more for both bar and kitchen, creating surprising aromas for your glass or plate.

Excursions
The Spreepark Tour
Spreepark is an abandoned amusement park located in the Plänterwald forest in Berlin’s Treptow district. Opened in 1969 as “Kulturpark Plänterwald,” it was the only amusement park in East Germany. After reunification, the park continued to operate until 2002, when it was closed due to financial troubles. The site has since become a haunting yet intriguing attraction. You can join guided tours to explore the remnants of old rides, rusting roller coasters, and other abandoned structures.
The tour provides a unique glimpse into a different side of Berlin’s history and has a fascinating atmosphere that blends nostalgia with a sense of decay.
The Teufelsberg Listening Station
Teufelsberg, meaning “Devil’s Mountain,” is a man-made hill in Grunewald, Berlin, constructed from debris after World War II. Atop this hill lies the remnants of a Cold War-era listening station, used by the United States and its allies to spy on East Germany and Soviet communications. Today, you can explore the site on a guided tour and learn about its history, including its role in Cold War espionage. The location also serves as a vibrant space for street art, with large murals and graffiti adorning the walls. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of Berlin from the top of the hill while discovering an important piece of Berlin’s history that is often overlooked by traditional tours.
Berliner Unterwelten
Delve beneath the bustling streets of Berlin into the city’s underground world with a tour of the Berliner Unterwelten (Berlin Underworlds). This organization offers guided tours through bunkers, tunnels, and other subterranean structures that played significant roles during World War II and the Cold War. You can explore hidden air-raid shelters, escape tunnels, and even remnants of a former Nazi government bunker. The tours provide a captivating insight into Berlin’s tumultuous history and offer a unique perspective on the city’s past.
Visit Wannsee Lake
Wannsee Lake, located in the southwestern part of Berlin, is a popular destination for water lovers. You can swim, sail, paddleboard, or rent a kayak to explore the lake’s calm waters. Strandbad Wannsee, a large public beach on the lake, is perfect for sunbathing and swimming during the summer months. The area also has charming walking trails and a relaxed atmosphere, making it a great spot to enjoy the outdoors and the water.
Stand-Up Paddleboarding on the Landwehrkanal
Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) has become increasingly popular in Berlin, and the Landwehrkanal offers a fantastic setting for this activity. You can rent paddleboards and glide along the canal, passing through picturesque neighborhoods like Kreuzberg and Neukölln. This is a fun and active way to explore the city while enjoying the water. Some companies even offer SUP yoga classes for a unique twist on this water-based activity.
