The launch in Riyadh follows the opening of the first store in the Middle East in Abu Dhabi. Anya Hindmarch is expanding into the Gulf region through a franchise agreement with Etoile Group, which represents brands such as Chanel, Valentino and Ralph Lauren.
The 125 sqm boutique will become a unique luxury destination featuring the designer’s signature playful aesthetic with treatment inspired by the AW16 show, which explored the development of artificial consciousness with the question ‘Do Computers Dream When They Sleep?’
Furniture designed by Italian designer Martino Gamper will sit alongside London-based art work from Julie Cockburn and a smiley face sculpture by Ryan Callanan.
The boutique in Riyadh will join 45 other Anya Hindmarch stores worldwide. The brand has also a presence in 150 retailers including Barney’s, Bergdorf Goodman, Net-A-Porter and Colette.
