Armani has relaunched then Giorgio Armani Neve line is making a come-back. Giorgio Armani has revamped the Neve (‘snow’ in Italian) winter sportswear collection, which he first launched in the 1990s as one of the many different offshoots of his fashion label
Giorgio Armani Neve is a line of ski, après ski and outdoor clothes and accessories for men and women, with a more sophisticated style than the Emporio Armani sportswear line. Its understated elegance and vaguely retro feel will certainly be a hit with Armani fans. The collection is available since November at selected Giorgio Armani stores, and it is expected to be also available on the label’s e-shop soon.
The skiwear range notably includes velvet ski suits as well as a plethora of accessories, from helmets to headbands, boots, hats and gloves. The men’s après ski range features tech fabric waterproof jackets with sheepskin lining, cargo trousers, cashmere gilets and thick woollen or chenille round-neck sweaters, while the ladies’ range includes wool and cashmere turtleneck sweaters, brightly patterned fitted trousers, pea jackets and a fuchsia-coloured brushed sheepskin top with a generous fur collar.
The collection’s colour palette ranges from black to navy blue, white and red, with flashes of fuchsia. For the first time, Neve also features “a selection of cashmere outerwear quilted in cashmere.” The production process it adopts “avoids the use of down feathers, which are replaced by cashmere,” said the label in a press release.
