Launched earlier this year, Atelier des Ors was established by passionate perfumer Jean-Philippe Clermont in his pursuit to create differently and express a personal vision of French Haute Parfumerie. The nose behind the fragrance is Marie Salamagne (Firmenich), who ‘signed’ several successful fragrances for Guerlain, Armani, Jo Malone and was also part of the team behind YSL’s Black Opium.
The collection comprises of five perfumes Cuir Sacré, Lune Féline, Rose Omeyadde, Aube Rubis and L’Armes du Desert. With Gold is part of the DNA of the brand, both aesthetically and and sensorially, the packaging is indented to convey the glimmer of the sun’s golden rays, while 24K flecks of gold float and shimmer within its liquid contents.
Gold is also highlighted in the name of the brand and the liquid contents of the bottles are gold in color. The boxes which are equally conceived as works of art exude nobility. For Jean Philipp, nobility is a guarantee of respect to customers who appreciate the collection.
Lune Féline is a rich gourmet vanilla perfume with a touch of amber, complemented by cardamom and cinnamon. Lune Féline’s base is resins, musks and woods, which lend a darkly luscious dimension to the scent until its conclusion. Vanilla Tahitens is summoned here in all its fruity, floral and yes definitely sweet glory.
Cuir Sacré is the deeply masculine scent, based on leather accents. Juniper, cardamom and saffron enhance the sleek leather accord. The absence of floral notes heightens the masculine feel. Vetiver is also fully present in the base, hence a sophisticated gentleman’s lifestyle relation.
