The 1,350-square-foot Balmain flagship store in London is set to open next year on South Audley Street in Mayfair. The store will be designed by Joseph Dirand, with many Parisian influences. According to WWD, the London storefront is stone with a glass entryway and window detailed with an outline of black lacquer and gold leaf.
The interior of the new Balmain flagship utilizes a common style in the Mayfair neighborhood based off the Queen Anne Revival. The stone floor has a geometric pattern and the furniture is styled after ones by Pierre Balmain’s favorite mid-century designers, André Arbus and Jean Rovère.
Olivier Rousteing, Pierre Balmain‘s Creative Director since 2011 is credited with the revival of the iconic French couture maison, which recently re-launched its e-commerce through balmain.com
