Our take / CPP
Despite our editorial focus on luxury business, we cannot just stand-by, especially having extensively covered the Covid-19 pandemic and its dramatic effects. More African-Americans died from Covid-19 Coronavirus throughout the entire U.S. Most of those infected were poorer, living in dire conditions and some of them suffering from other chronic conditions.
With the current Covid-19 pandemic so poorly managed in the U.S. with over 100.000 deaths, the #BlackLivesMatter pandemic has been out of control for decades and this divide is not likely to bring Americans together, due to gross manipulation.
This unprecedented violence is very likely to further spread and cause more anarchy and deaths, with Coronavirus infections likely to skyrocket, leading to a second wave of deaths – unless powerful black Americans make their voices heard. Actor Jamie Foxx already took part in initial protests and Oprah had a fast reaction on Twitter.
But most black millionaire celebrities including Drake, Kanye West and fashion designer Virgil Abloh have, so far, remained silent. You can’t? You can’t step up & talk about the injustices? You can’t step up for these young people who are out there who are mad? said Don Lemon (CNN) on black leaders and millionaires who must speak up.
