Having undergone an extensive redesign and renovation overseen by famed architect Giampiero Panepinto, Capri Tiberio Palace boasts the finest product among all luxury hotels in Capri – superb contemporary interiors, having utilised top quality furnishings and materials, not to mention the meticulous finishes. Beyond ultimate comfort, all accommodations and public spaces extend an air of elegance and prestige, with a unique blend of Dolce Vita and Mediterranean influences.
The unique location steps from the famous Piazzetta, Capri Tiberio Palace commands superb panoramic views of the island and the sea. The positioning right in the heart of Capri is also enhancing the feel of authenticity and genuineness, in very close proximity to best shopping on the island but also some of the best restaurants, bars, cafes and terraces. The predominant style is Regency, with an exquisite chic Capri touch of the 1950s. The eclectic style will please even the most discerning luxury travellers.
Besides the impressive grand entrance and luxurious front office, the Jacky Bar is one of the hotspots of the hotel, with a direct entrance from the front of the hotel. The Bar re-creates the atmosphere of Cotton Club and Cuba in the 60s with its elegant white grand piano and a collection of original Borsalino panama hats pinned to one of its walls. This contemporary-style bar is designed around the century-old palm-tree that grows through the ceiling. During the summer season, there is a live DJ every evening.
Terrazza Tiberio is the all day dining venue of the hotel, with a stunning outdoor terrace that offers breathtaking views but also a cozy and elegant indoor area – both generously sized, attracting equally hotel guests and non-hotel residents. The dining experience is complemented by an extraordinary menu of locally sourced Italian favourites alongside an expert selection of italian wines. Service is impeccable – genuine, attentive and predictive, while ensuring ultimate personalisation. Breakfast is exceptional – one of the best among the luxury hotels on the island.
Executive Chef Nello Siano focuses on using seasonal products grown with an ultimate sustainability goal of the zero kilometer sourcing. His international experience led him to experiment with new gastronomic suggestions. The healthiest and most genuine ingredients of Caprese cuisine, such as mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, aromatic herbs combine with the exoticism of other raw materials such as ginger, tosatsu, Norwegian salmon, creating contrasts with unique flavors.
Exclusive proposals include: Monti Lattari potato fluid with creamed cod with hints of sea urchins, spaghettone di Gragnano with yellow cherry tomato and Carmasciano pecorino cheese, tagliolini egg pasta, cuttlefish ink and redfish. Mention must be made that the hotel has its very own vegetable garden within immediate proximity across from the hotel – vegetables and fruits are grown just like the locals do.
Capri Tiberio Palace boasts not only one of the largest luxury Spas on its very own premises but also one of the most sophisticated and complete in its offering. Spread over two floors, SPA Tiberio features no less than 6 treatment rooms, a dry sauna, Hamman, frigidarium, gym, 6 water-Jet showers and a stylish indoor-outdoor pool overlooking the island’s beautiful southern bay. There is an extensive range of body treatments, skincare but also rituals. Salon services are also available.
All Spa treatments features phyto products, made from wild officinal plants, rich in pure essential oils, the main beauty brand being Mei, an entirely ”Made in Italy” range – with specific products for detox, cellulite draining, anti-age and deep moisture. Mei products are complemented by Carthusia products – the brand entirely made on the Island of Capri. The Carthusia line also features a sun-care line which is available at Spa Tiberio. A day lounging by the outdoor pool is mesmerising – lounging and relaxing, while sunbathing and soaking in the energy of the island.
Despite the post pandemic challenges, the hotel has succeeded in forging a solid and motivated team, the company investing in continued and sustained training. Some staff have been with a property for a few seasons, a factor which has proven critical to ensuring consistently high customer service standards. It is this exceptional consistency and reliability which has ensured the loyalty of many returning guests.
Capri Tiberio Palace is part of Shedir Collection which also owns and operates several other luxury hotels in Rome – Hotel Maalot, Hotel Vilon and Umilita36, with Palazzo Roma scheduled to open by the end of this year.
