French luxury brand Chanel has recently inaugurated a pop-up shop in New York on 5 East 57th Street. Branded “Le Rouge Chanel”, the three-story shop is characterised by the rich red hue, which dates back to its founder, Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, and her love for the colour that went on to inspire her signature red lipstick as part of her fist makeup collection.
Inside, the pop-up offers several activations like a Lip Lounge, a Fragrance Bar, and a Holiday Shop where shoppers can browse fragrances, alongside other limited-edition beauty products like Chanel’s signature scent N°5, reimagined in an all-red bottle.
The real special item on offer, however, is a 30.4 fl oz N°5 perfume bottle – 10-times its original size – made of Baccarat glass and retailing for $30,000. There are only 55 of them available in the world.
Consultations with Chanel celeb makeup artists like Kate Lee, Fulvia Farolfi, Cyndle K. and Tyron Machausen are equally available on site. The pop-up will run until December 23.
