As it has done for the past nine years, French luxury house of Chanel has opened a pop-up store in the prestigious ski resort of Courchevel in the French Alps.
Open until April 2019, skiers will have the opportunity to shop for the brand’s famous handbags and outfits, when they are not busy on the slopes or gorging on fondue in the village’s restaurants.
Before they even enter the store, fans of the brand will be greeted by the vision of “Chanel” spelled out in 1.2-meter high letters. The letters, which are made of perforated shiny black metal, glitter with LED light at night.
Spread over two floors, the store will present the 2018-2019 Fall-Winter Ready-to-Wear and the 2018-2019 Cruise collections. Plans are also afoot to offer skiers a chance to buy the 2019 Spring-Summer Ready-to-Wear Collection in a few weeks time. Along with the clothing collections, the 1600-square-foot space will also offer a wide range of accessories, shoes, watches, and jewellery.
