The Lanesborough Hotel is filling Londoners with Christmas hope and cheer, with the unveiling of its beautiful festive display at its grand entrance. Created in partnership with London-based florist Dickinson & Doris, the festive installation features a majestic wreath above the entrance, complete with little crowns to match the hotel’s crest, while two twinkling Christmas trees stand guard either side of the hotel’s iconic doors. Hoping to welcome guests back from 3rd December 2020, The Lanesborough has plenty of seasonal celebrations in store to see out 2020 in style, with a variety of festive-filled experiences and packages launching soon.
Festive Shop & Stay
Located in one of London’s best shopping districts, just a short stroll to Knightsbridge, The Lanesborough makes the perfect base from which to shop and soak up the city’s festive spirit. The Festive Shop & Stay package, in partnership with Harvey Nichols, includes everything a guest needs to make the Christmas shopping experience completely stress-free. Following a festive welcome on arrival and settling into a beautiful room or suite, guests will be whisked to Harvey Nichols by one of The Lanesborough’s chauffeur-driven cars for a personal shopping experience led by Harvey Nichols styling team.

Christmas in Residence
Guests can make The Lanesborough their home this festive season with the Christmas in Residence package; perfect for a much-needed change of scene. During three days in residence at the hotel, they will enjoy a magical Christmas Eve with mulled wine or hot chocolate on arrival, a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in their room or suite, a chauffeur-driven car to Hamleys to pick up any final presents and to St. Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge for a jolly evening service – with the benefit of having a dedicated Butler on hand to help with any last-minute present wrapping.
Christmas Day will dawn with a delightful Champagne breakfast, hand-delivered by the Butler and served in bed if preferred, while younger visitors enjoy their personalised Lanesborough stocking. Guests will enjoy a sumptuous five-course Christmas Day lunch in the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant Céleste, followed by an appearance from Father Christmas in The Withdrawing Room at 2pm and a live broadcast of the Queen’s Speech at 3pm.
Boxing Day will begin with a quintessential English breakfast and the opportunity to take a chauffeur-driven car to Harvey Nichols for an exclusive shopping experience, whilst little ones can enjoy a cupcake-making class or Peggy Porschen Festive Afternoon Tea for the whole family. The Christmas in Residence package starts from £1,195 per room, per night, for two people and is valid on a three-night stay from 24 to 27 December 2020.
Festive Dining Experiences
The Lanesborough’s renowned Michelin-starred restaurant Céleste will play host to a series of interesting and immersive festive dining experiences next month. An exclusive Festive du Jour Menu has been curated by Head Chef Darcio Henriques, honouring British heritage and provenance with modern European touches. Classic Christmas dishes such as a Chestnut and Turkey Pie with Tarragon Mash and Cranberry Jus and a Christmas Yule Log with Brandied Cherries and Chocolate Cremeux will feature on this festive three-course menu, which will run from 6 December 2020 to 4 January 2021. The Festive du Jour Menu is priced at £49 per person for three-courses with a supplement of £42 per person for wine pairing.
In the atmospheric setting of Céleste, The Lanesborough will host Live Nights on Christmas Eve (24 December) and Boxing Day (26 December), enjoyed over a three-course dinner served with a glass of Champagne. Live Nights are priced at £85 per person for three-courses with a supplement of £42 per person for wine pairing.
Christmas Day Lunch
Those looking to take a well-deserved break from their kitchens can treat themselves to a Michelin-starred Christmas Day Lunch . The five-course menu will be enjoyed in the majestic surrounds of Céleste and feature modern classics such as Scottish Scallop, Norfolk Bronze Turkey and an Egg Nog Bauble, served with a crisp glass of Champagne to get in the celebratory spirit. Christmas Day Lunch is priced at £260 per person with a supplement of £140 per person for wine pairing.
New Year’s Eve in Residence
Following a challenging 2020, The Lanesborough is making New Year’s Eve extra special this year, giving guests the opportunity to ring in 2021 in serious style with a New Year’s Eve in Residence package. Checking in on 31 December, visitors will be welcomed with a festive aperitif before an afternoon of pampering at The Lanesborough Club & Spa with a choice of blow-dry or manicure, followed by a spectacular five-course gala dinner in Céleste to usher in 2021.
New Year’s Day will start the right way with a traditional English breakfast and a complimentary fitness class in the Club & Spa, with full access to spa and fitness facilities. After working up a sweat, a sweet treat or two can be enjoyed with the Peggy Porschen Festive Afternoon Tea served in The Belgravia Room. New Year’s Eve Dinner and New Year’s Day Lunch
Those who aren’t staying overnight, but don’t want to miss out on the fun, can ring in 2021 in Céleste over a glamorous five-course New Year’s Eve Dinner on 31 December, featuring Champagne with Oscietra caviar and dishes such as Chocolate and Foie Gras Terrine, Venison Wellington and the Lanesborough Vacherin. To toast a happy 2021, there will be a celebratory three-course New Year’s Day Lunch also at Céleste featuring sublime dishes including The Lanesborough’s signature Crispy Organic Egg, Wild Turbot and a reimagination of the Christmas classic, ‘After Eight’. New Year’s Eve Dinner is priced at £295 per person for five courses with a supplement of £155 per person for wine pairing. New Year’s Day Lunch is priced at £95 per person for three-course with a supplement of £42 per person for wine pairing.
Peggy Porschen Festive Afternoon Tea
It doesn’t get much more festive and photogenic than the Peggy Porschen Festive Afternoon Tea. The tea pairs one of London’s most beautiful dining settings under the naturally illuminated domed glass roof of Céleste, with the fairy tale pink Peggy Porschen aesthetic. Guests can expect a wintertime immersion into a celebration of charming floral features, pastel hues and exquisite tastes.
The re-imagined festive tea will feature some of Peggy Porschen’s signature creations, classic afternoon tea essentials such as finger sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and jam, as well as the bespoke afternoon tea blends of Peggy Porschen and The Lanesborough. Highlights include Christmas Turkey and Stuffing, Roast Beef and Horseradish Cream and Honey Roast Pumpkin and Brie sandwiches; Peggy’s trademark Lemon, Raspberry and Rose Slice and Strawberry and Pink Champagne Tartlet, as well as a Jolly Gingerbread Cupcake, Chocolate and Cherry Snowflake Cupcake and a Cranberry Christmas Pavlova.
‘Teas with a Twist’ include a Chocolate Brownie black tea, White Choco Chilli Chinese white tea, and Rhubarb & Vanilla Chinese green tea. This partnership marks founder and life-long baker Peggy’s return to The Lanesborough, where she held her first prestigious pastry chef position in 1999 after graduating from Le Cordon Bleu’s ‘The Grand Diploma of Cuisine & Patisserie’.
Alongside her skilled pastry chef team, Peggy is returning to design a beautifully unique afternoon tea experience in collaboration with The Lanesborough’s Head Pastry Chef Kevin Miller.
