This is the second consecutive year that DIOR has chosen Ibiza for a pop-up store, which opened on 3 July and will run until the end of October. Situated in the heart of the marina, the space showcases Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Dioriviera womenswear collection alongside Kim Jones’ Autumn/Winter 2020 range, plus new season homeware styles from Dior Maison.
Also available in-store is the Dior Book Tote and Walk’n’Dior trainers embroidered with Toile de Jouy, plus the new Dior Around the World capsule collection, which is made up of a selection of graphic creations dressed in a camouflage motif. Other highlights include artworks by Italian artist Pietro Ruffo, personally selected by Maria Grazia Chiuri. Christian Dior has had a direct presence in Spain since 1982, when the business established the Christian Dior Española subsidiary.
In addition to the DIOR boutique at Via Camerelle, Capri is also playing host to an ephemeral location at Il Riccio Restaurant & Beach Club, part of the Capri Palace Jumeirah Hotel. From the cliff, overlooking the azure waters of the Mediterranean, this unique setting on a balcony perched on the rock is accessible by sea thanks to a dedicated boat service.
In harmony with the surrounding nature, luxuriant planting further emphasizes the refined bamboo and cannage décor**. The embodiment of French savoir-faire and a Dior heritage emblem, blue-tinted toile de Jouy motifs cover the walls in a contemporary interpretation of traditional Italian ceramics, a tribute to the richness of local craftsmanship.
Presented alongside exclusive Dior Maison objects, the capsule essentials include sailor tops and summer accessories, along with the iconic Dior Book Tote, Saddle and Diorcamp bags revisited with the motifs of the Dior Around the World line, inspired by the sketches of the Roman artist Pietro Ruffo. This signature joins toile de Jouy and bayadère stripes on the cushions, parasols and personalized beach cabins of the lounging area, entirely redecorated by the House for the occasion as a testament to the irresistible lure of sun-drenched escapism and an evocation of the good life.
Mykonos is attempting to position itself as a luxury destination based on the success of the past three years. Several luxury luxury fashion and watches brands have once again opened for the summer season in Mykonos. DIOR is opening its space within the Nammos Village, one of the island’s most coveted lifestyle destinations.
In the chic and exclusive summer destination of Forte dei Marmi in Tuscany (Italy), DIOR is re-opening its seasonal summer boutique at via IV Novembre, within proximity of other major luxury boutiques such as Tod’s and Armani.
Similarly to Capri and Ibiza, the DIOR pop-up stores in Forte dei Marmi and Mykonos features the same range of products, only slightly in smaller inventory depending on the size of the space and sales estimations.
