Emaar Hospitality’s CEO, Olivier Harnisch has stepped down from his position. According to an official from the group, Harnisch is leaving to “pursue new interests”. Chris Newman, the group’s chief operating officer, will be handling business operations.
Harnisch, who started his career as a waiter in 1986 at the Hotel Negresco in Nice, France. Talking about Harnisch’s work, a spokesperson from the group said, “We can confirm that Olivier Harnisch is leaving Emaar Hospitality Group to pursue new interests. We thank him for his contribution to Emaar Hospitality Group and wish him the best in his future endeavours. Moving forward, Chris Newman, Chief Operating Officer of Emaar Hospitality Group, will handle business operations.”
