French premium apparel house of Faconnable announced this week it is terminating its lease agreement for its 1.000 sqm flagship store on Faubourg St Honore in Paris from the end of this year. Reports indicate the house is no longer able to sustain financially the huge flagship store on Paris’s iconic premier shopping street. Faconnable maintains two other stores in Paris on rue Marbeuf and Blvd Saint-Germain.
By the end of 2012, Faconnable is opening stores in Latvia, Lithuania and Germany and next Spring in Qatar, UAE, U.S., Chile, Jordan and Turkey. Most of the new openings are operated in franchising by local retailers.
