The business magazine BILANZ today published this year’s best city and holiday hotels in Switzerland and Europe 2020. With a score of 97.2, Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten achieved the first place among the 100 best city hotels in Europe. This year’s BILANZ hotel ranking is based on 450 expert tests conducted over the past 18 months. Equally relevant for the ranking is a written survey of 87 top Swiss hoteliers, the current ratings of relevant travel publications and test portals, and the experiences of 108 hotel experts and travel professionals. BILANZ converts the classifications of these evaluation pillars into a common 100-point scheme.
With its 123-year history, Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten combines tradition and history with innovative and cosmopolitan lifestyle. With 156 rooms and suites and 300 employees, the Grand Hotel is known for its high level of personality and service excellence. Ingo C. Peters, Managing Director of the hotel, is delighted about the award: “Being chosen as the best city hotel in Europe is a great honour for us. Day by day we do our best to create unforgettable moments and memories for our guests – the appreciation means a lot to us. My very sincere thanks goes to all our employees. They are the heart and soul of this hotel.”
