Barely in its first year of operation Fauchon L’Hotel in Paris, dubbed as the first luxury gourmet hotel in the world, has been included in Conde Nast 2019 Readers Awards rubbing shoulders with many long established luxury and Palace ranked hotels. Fauchon L’Hotel is also part of The Leading Hotels of the World.
Derived from the French legendary gourmet and delicatessen brand of Fauchon which was established in Paris in 1886. Initiated by Fauchon owners and veteran hotelier Jacques Olivier Chauvin, Fauchon’s first hotel enjoys a top prestigious Parisian location adjoining the famous Madeleine cathedral and steps from Rue Faubourg St Honore.
From its inception, no expense has been sparred using top materials and furnishings with the highest standard of finishes – equalling the standards of Mandarin Oriental or Park Hyatt. Most the furnishings is custom made by French luxury furniture and interiors brand of Roche Bobois. The Restaurant of the hotel was a success from day one with both Parisians and hotel guests and the same success was attained by the Spa which is operated with French beauty brand Carita.
But the biggest success has been achieving a consistently high customer service standard (service is genuine and heartfelt) as well as a very high positioning which may allow for flexible positioning for other properties. The group already announced a second property to open in Kyoto, while on Tripadvisor, Fauchon L’hotel has been ranking among the top 5 luxury hotels in Paris.
