In a statement this week FERRARI annouced sales dropped by 8% worldwide in the first six months of 2009. Ferrari sold 3.226 units in the first half of 2009 and its revenues for the same period were down 8% to EUR 891 million.
This is a clear sign the global crisis is affecting top luxury car brands. Until recently many of the top luxury car brands remained defiant especially due to the strong sales in China and Korea.
Despite the lower number of cars sold, Ferrari increased its market to 32,8% (a 10% percentage points increase).
