Earlier this year, Gruppo Statuto acquired the Caesar Augustus hotel in Capri (Anacapri) from the Italian Signorini family for €180m, further expanding its portfolio of luxury hotels in Italy. The Italian real estate group bought the hotel which comprises 49 rooms and six suites at a price of €3.2 million per key. Hotel amenities also include a restaurant, pool and spa.
Located on Via Giuseppe Orlandi, the five-star hotel is situated on the edge of a 300-meter-high cliff, allowing it views across the Bay of Naples. The original villa was built in 1850. In 1940, it was purchased by the Signorini family and converted to a hotel, and in 1995 was refurbished to a luxury standard.
Four Seasons Hotels will operate the Hotel Caesar Augustus in Capri (Anacapri).
