After the opening in Istanbul in Turkey, in mid-May 2017, and another planned opening Doha, Qatar, at the end of 2017, Galeries Lafayette has set its sights on Iran.
The French retail chain would settle on three levels in the future Iran Mall, located in the suburbs of Tehran, the Iranian capital. The shopping centre, which is set to be twice as large as its neighbor, Dubai Mall, extends over one million square metres. In total, it should accommodate a 1,000 shops, two hotels and several leisure facilities.
The inauguration of the Iran Mall is scheduled for the beginning of 2018. The Galeries Lafayette would then count, including the openings of Doha and Istanbul, their seventh largest department store internationally after Berlin, Dubai, Beijing and Jakarta.
