Located on Xidan Boulevard West of Forbidden City in Beijing, the entrance to the new Galeries Lafayette is signalled by a miniature Tour Eiffel. The department store covers 6 floors and 32.000 sqm GLA space. The mix of brands runs from medium to high end luxury, including Chinese designers. Of the total of 500 brands, 200 brands are making their debut on the Chinese market at Galeries Lafayette. One of the strongest product segments at Lafayette in Beijing is the selection of shoes. Over 7,000 sqm is dedicated to Food & Beverage including the Angelina Tea House, its first presence in China.
The Galeries Lafayette store in Beijing is operated in partnership with Hong Kong based retailer I.T. Limited. Galeries Lafayette operates 65 stores worldwide, with the majority in France, its international presence covering Berlin, Casablanca, Dubai and Jakarta (opened June this year).
