Italian fiscal authorities have initiated the liquidation procedures of the ITTIERE Holding company which owns the Gianfranco Ferre and Malo brands. By April 27th, potential buyers have to express a formal interest which, in May, will be followed by consulting the ”due dilligence”. Gianfranco Ferre has been one of the pioneers of luxury Italian fashion, building a reputation on its Made in Italy quality guarantee. It remains to be seen whether any major investor will show an interest, especially considering the huge losses accumulated by the Italian brand.
