French luxury fashion house of Givenchy (fully owned by LVMH) has recently inaugurated its first flagship store in Shanghai, China. The new Givenchy store in Shanghai covers 205 sqm and is situated within the IFC Mall Shanghai. The house, headed by former Prada executive, Sebastian Suhl, is due to open a second store in China by the end of this year. The new Givenchy store features men’s and women’s ready to wear, shoes, bags and accessories.
Under the new leadership, Givenchy has withdrawn from the Haute-Couture Paris calendar, focusing on ready to wear & accessories (including mid-range watches), as well as retail development with mono-brand boutiques.
