FLAG/Hong Kong is the fourth store worldwide after Milan, Dubai and Tokyo to introduce a whole new concept: The LAB. The LAB was born with the ambition of bringing our Venetian artisanal tradition to a retail environment to create an exclusive one-to-one experience, consisting of a “closed doors” moment that has been designed to create a bond between the client, the artisan and our product.
The clients play the leading role of this state-of-the-art tailor-made experience, introducing them into our tradition of craftsmanship and savoir-faire.
A skilful Golden Goose Craftsman will let the customer witness how our sneakers are treated and distressed by hand through special brushes, treatments, and artisanal craftsmanship: shaping every product into something unique, different from the others, following the client’s preferences. Once the treatment process is finished, the client can give their sneakers an individual touch by choosing from a set of accessories made exclusively for the LAB, such as laces, charms, and tape, available in different colourways, and by putting a personal hand-written message on it.
Together with the LAB, another concept has been introduced in the FLAG/Hong Kong store, the LACES Bar. Now the clients will be able to find their favourite laces in different colour-ways, fabrics, and prints. The laces, created exclusively for a few selected stores, will remain in store for one month only and they will be replaced with new designs and styles the next month.
The store will carry the full Female, Male and Kids collections, as well as new product categories, which are available in a few selected stores only. They feature pieces from our new LOGO Capsule, which consists of athleisure clothing (sweatshirts, shirts, leggings), and other leather goods, including bags, wallets, pouches and card holders, wrapped with our Golden Goose logo.
Golden Goose first flagship store in Hong Kong, covering a total surface of 1,850 square feet, will see silver as an absolute protagonist, which reflects the brands industrial origins, blending with the artisanal handmade approach enhancing Golden Goose products to the maximum.
The walls, floors and ceilings are entirely covered with aluminium foil giving homogeneity and brightness to the whole interior. The furnishings, in galvanised steel and super mirror stainless steel, blend perfectly into the space, almost to the point of being camouflaged. The juxtaposing material used for the silver-coloured lycra curtain gives a more sophisticated touch to the environment.
