Hotel Bristol Vienna, a Luxury Collection Hotel will be closing for extensive renovations which are expected to be completed by 2027. The hotel is part of Sacher Group which includes Sacher Vienna, Sacher Salzburg and Seefeld Tirol. Vienna’s luxury hotel market has seen the addition of Rosewood Vienna in 2022, followed by The Amauris Vienna in 2023. Palais Coburg will also undergo renovations, while Mandarin Oriental Vienna is opening mid 2025.
CEO Matthias Winkler said: Since its opening on June 26, 1892, the Hotel Bristol has been an icon of Viennese hospitality. Now it’s time for a change. As owners, we invest in the future and at the same time in the tradition that has shaped the Hotel Bristol Vienna seit for over 100 years. In addition to the introduction of photovoltaics and the introduction of district cooling, the substance of the building will be modernized and expanded to include a green roof and inner courtyard. All to meet the needs of modern guests and employees.
