Located more than 3,600 feet above sea level in Gstaad, Switzerland, the former Steigenberger Alpenhotel and Spa will be transformed as the Huus Hotel Gstaad.
Swedish design studio Stylt Trampoli has been tapped to craft inviting spaces outfitted to convey both comfort and a sense of adventure. Organic tones and natural, locally sourced materials will reinforce the alpine setting.
The hotel’s 136 guestrooms will feature three different configurations. An onsite Finnish sauna will revel in mountain views and feature an aroma sauna, an ice bath, and a Kneipp hydrotherapy pool. Other facilities include a designated family area and an adventure lounge.
The hotel will include restaurants that feature traditional alpine recipes prepared with regional ingredients or have a drink with a newfound friend over a hamburger, great BBQ, or even a cheese fondue in a cozy chalet setting.
