For more than 20 years, the MARIA LUISA fashion concept store has been an inspiration for retailers and fashion designers worlwide and most importantly a leading trendsetter. The company announced it would close its long time store to concentrate on online sales as well as shop in shops such as the one opened earlier this year in PRINTEMPS. Owner Maria Luisa Poumaillou was appointed fashion editor of French department store group Printemps last year. The owner motivates the closure claiming alternative sales channels such as shop in shop concepts are producing much higher performances.
