After leading the famous The Chedi Andermatt from success to success and distinction to distinction since 2015, Jean-Yves Blatt joined the Villars Alpine Resort (VAR) group in November 2023 as Group Managing Director in Villars-sur-Ollon, in the canton of Vaud. At the same time, this renowned hotelier managed the historic luxury hotel Villars Palace, which was completely renovated, as General Manager. With his strategic management skills and many years of experience in the high-end hotel industry, he made a significant contribution to making the Villars Palace a renowned luxury destination in the region.
Under his leadership, the five-star hotel experienced significant growth and laid a solid foundation for continued excellence and innovation. He successfully combined culture and luxury, thereby enriching the guest experience. Furthermore, under his leadership, the Villars Palace was admitted to the prestigious collection of Leading Hotels of the World and joined the Swiss Deluxe Hotels at the end of 2024, which consolidated the establishment’s position among the most recognized luxury accommodations in the world.
”I am extremely happy to bring the Six Senses Crans-Montana into a new era and to continue to establish here in Switzerland the Six Senses brand, which is very well known, particularly in Asia. As its name suggests, Six Senses is not only synonymous with one-of-a-kind luxury and high-end hospitality. It also embodies sensuality in its purest form and represents a lasting holistic experience, which challenges the body and soul. Our guests must return to their daily lives not only rested, but they must also return stronger and more resilient. I know it’s an ambitious goal,” declares Jean-Yves Blatt.
