Dubai based Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Aaron Kaupp as Regional Vice President, General Manager of Jumeirah Carlton Tower, London (currently closed for extensive renovations). Jumeirah Hotels also manages in Europe Jumeirah Port Soller, Mallorca and Jumeirah Frankfurt.
Kaupp arrives from Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris (4 years) and a series of senior tenures since 2006 at Palazzo Sasso, Belmond and Armani Hotels. Jumeirah’s regional office in London will also see the addition of other exceptional luxury hospitality professionals. Kaupp has built an exceptional reputation based on exceeding expectations and targets but also as a visionary leader. He formally takes over his new position from November 2019.
Since Jose Silva took over as CEO in January 2018, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, which is owned by Dubai Holding, has embarked on a massive transformation plan with a strategic mid and long term approach which includes stepping up international expansion in key locations (including the option of acquisitions & investments), launching a new ultra-luxury hotel brand, upgrading dining to the highest standards under the guidance of Chief Culinary Officer Michael Ellis (ex Michelin Guide), renovations and updates of operating properties. Silva has been attracting exceptional talent which is the key driver of all his strategic plans.
