One of the four penthouses built at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab has broken the record for Dubai’s most expensive apartment. Changing hands for AED420 million (US$114 million), the sale is the latest in the city’s high-end residences frenzy and a big win for Jumeirah Group The apartment spans 24,628 square feet, a private pool, dedicated lobby and two private lifts.
Luxhabitat Sotheby’s International Realty was behind the sale and now holds the record for the most expensive apartment ever sold in Dubai. Spanning a whopping 24,628 square feet, the apartment boasts 17,000 square feet of outdoor areas with 360-degree ocean views including the iconic Burj Al Arab.
Baccarat has already sold a residence for the record-breaking price-to-size ratio sum. According to Bloomberg reports the sale was for a $55.3m (AED203.1m) five-bedroom residence in the as-yet to begin construction development. In August 2022, the largest penthouse at Atlantis, The Royal sold for AED163 million ($44 million). A mystery buyer is the owner of the five-bedroom, three-storey penthouse, which comes with its own sky garden, two private pools and 360 views of the city.
Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab will feature 387 rooms and suites, four penthouses and 82 luxury hotel apartment suites, set amid private gardens. There will also be wellness areas and 10 restaurants. Jumeirah said this will be its “statement property” and mark “a new epoch” for the group. Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab will also include a superyacht marina with 82 berths as well as signature culinary and leisure experiences
