Karl Lagerfeld (company re-launched last year by Apex Partners) has recently opened its first two flagship stores in China, in Beijing at the new Charter Shopping Center Mall and in Shanghai at Jing An Kerry Center Mall.
The Beijing KARL LAGERFELD store, situated in the city’s new retail attraction-CharterShopping Center, embraces a total selling area of 222sqm, is positioned as the first KARL LAGERFELD flagship store inChina. The journey through the ‘KARL LAGERFELD’ experience takes the consumer through a showcase of world of KARL LAGERFELD. Ranging from accessories line, that composed of bags, leather goods, shoes, eyewear and watches and then lead to the couturier’s various collaborations, and unique items to get to the women’s and men’s ready-to-wear lines.
The Shanghai KARL LAGERFELD store is situated in the city’s new fashion landmark, Jing An Kerry Center, housing a space of 104sqm, is the first KARL LAGERFELD store inShanghai. While fully aligning the global iconic image design and merchandise, the store offers a more private atmosphere.
Moreover, the elaborate digital experience of the two stores allows customers to journey through the world of KARL LAGERFELD in an exciting inventive way. iPad minis enable visitors to discover the universe of the brand, various collections and news, the latest videos and even leave notes to the brand and the designer.
Following the successful opening of these first 2 stores the brand intends opening another 4 stores in the next 6 months with an objective of having around 40 stores over the next 5 years. “The Greater China region definitely is one of the strategic focuses of the brand and we expect to see strong growth in this market.
