Naples based luxury menswear group Ciro Paone S.p.A. is inaugurating January 12th during Milan Fashion Week the first phase of its new headquarters, Palazzo Kiton in Milan on via Pontaccio, the former home of Gianfranco Ferre, building which it had acquired in November last year for an estimated 30 million euros.
The ground-floor will be dedicated to the group’s flagship brand Kiton, while the first floor will house the multi-brand showroom of the group with its other brands: Sartorio, Svevo, K punto rosso, Lanificio Carlo Barbera. MP Massimo Piombo will be the other only brand with its own mono space. The other floors of the building, including a bistro and retail space open to public will be completed following and extensive renovation and restoration, in 2015, in time for Expo Milano.
For the inaugural event, Kiton will showcase three sartorial cabins with video-led technology, which will picture a retrospective of the history of the house.
With a turnover of over 95 million euros in 2012, Kiton was founded in Naples in 1958 as CIPA by Ciro Paone, a fifth-generation fabric merchant and Antonio Carola, the Kiton brand being introduced as such in 1968. Today, Kiton operates 18 mono-brand stores, worldwide, most of them in franchising, and is present at major luxury department store such as Saks Fifth Avene, Galeries Lafayette or Bergdorf Goodman.
