For the past 7 years, CPP-LUXURY.COM has been conducting extensive research of Dubai’s luxury hotel sector, also reviewing over 60% of luxury properties. The arrival of The Lana (Dorchester Collection), Atlantis The Royal and One&Only One Za’abeel has realigned the entire luxury sector, creating two distinctive rankings top luxury and five star. Over half of the properties flagged under luxury brands have not been renovated in more than 10 years.
Our criteria has included an in-depth evaluation of overall service standards (all departments), product (including upkeep and recent renovations), quality of furnishing and finishes, size of the accommodations, comfort, location, relevance, positioning (including views), value, consistency over time, reliability, safety, desirability, innovation / creativity, guest mix, full service luxury Spa, luxury gym, professional Concierge (members of Clef d’Or). Critical product aspects such as bedding, soundproofing, quality of air, serenity / efficiency of AC and water pressure have also been considered.
