Following on 360 degree experiences at Paris’ luxury hotels August 2019, CPP-LUXURY.COM has compiled a comparative review
Oetker Collection‘s iconic flagship LE BRISTOL Paris as the undisputed No. 1 Palace ranked ultra-luxury hotel, with the finest 3 Michelin starred dining by Chef Eric Frechon (Epicure), superb renovation of suites in the Residence building in perfect tune with the hotel’s already well established DNA and position – a brighter palettes selection, brighter lighting with latest technology updates, an exquisitely renovated Cafe Antonia, a Spa featuring one of the world’s hottest organic brand – Tata Harper (with a new Spa Suite at the hotel) a brand new Bristol Bar reopening early September.
The hotel recently added the first ever most sophisticated bakery and a chocolate manufacture of the highest quality. However, most importantly LE BRISTOL Paris boasts an impeccable and consistent service throughout the entire property.
The splendidly new renovated suites at LE MEURICE Paris, including the expansive roof-top Belle Etoile Penthouse Suite have boosted the Dorchester Collection owned and managed property to the top 3 Palace ranked luxury hotels in Paris.
FAUCHON L’HOTEL PARIS has been our superb new discovery, with the best luxury lifestyle positioning which is based on the heritage French DNA of the Fauchon brand. Together with First Roma Dolce (Rome), Fauchon L’Hotel Paris – are the world’s first ever luxury gourmet hotels, with an flawlessly executed brand extension in the case of Fauchon.
PARK HYATT Vendome Paris, which has recently completed a partial renovation of its rooms and suites ranks as the finest luxury international brand (hotel chain) in Paris – the hotel is also a Palace ranking property, the only one that is part of Hyatt‘s global loyalty program which gathers all its brands of all categories and positioning.
Reopened a year ago as part of THE SET HOTELS, the unique bohemian LUTETIA, the only luxury property of this size on the Left Bank in Paris (Rive Gauche) reopened a year ago after a comprehensive renovation under the signature of famed French architect Jean Michel Wilmotte. The five star hotel does not aim for a Palace ranking due to its accommodations offering (small size of even the signature suites) and still inconsistent service especially in Food & Beverage and Spa. Hopefully, with the arrival later this year of the JK PLACE Paris (part of privately owned Italian luxury chain JK Place – with top luxury properties in Florence, Carpri and Rome) LUTETIA will speed up its luxury positioning.
The recently re-opened HOTEL DU LOUVRE, Unbound Collection by Hyatt is a uniquely positioned ‘affordable luxury’ offering in Paris’ highly competitive five star hotel market. The hotel does not meet the criteria of a Palace ranking, the biggest and sole achievement, being the Maison Bocuse conceived and run Brasserie du Louvre.
