Louis Vuitton is to debut a pop-up store dedicated entirely to its latest “Archlight” women’s sneaker. Several styles will be on offer in the temporary NYC outlet, including an exclusive all-black colorway, the label said in a press release.
Located at 122 Greene Street, in the heart of the SoHo district, the pop-up store will be home to the new sneaker models, designed by Nicolas Ghesquière and unveiled at the spring/summer 2018 season shows in October. This particular LV creation certainly didn’t go unnoticed, contrasting with the rest of the collection and its sophisticated jackets and dresses inspired by the 18th century.
Louis Vuitton creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière, explains that these sneakers are inspired by nineties basketball shoes, while also encompassing a futuristic design with chunky soles and a large tongue. The models featured on the label’s website combine calfskin with technical materials and a rubber sole.
The NYC pop-up will be open until March 10.
