German luxury brand MCM opens the doors to its largest flagship store to date, located in Tokyo. Ginza HAUS I is an architectural landmark where art, fashion, and culture converge throughout a nine-story, 2,880-square-meter space. Inspired by Germany’s capital, Ginza HAUS I resides in Tokyo’s tourist and commercial fashion mecca for luxury, awarding customers with a glimpse at MCM’s vision and values.
The facade of MCM’s Tokyo store is constructed from granite grey marble, as oversized LED panels illuminate the brand’s logo. The interior then references both classic and contemporary designs, informed by the past and designed for the present. Bold signage, wooden furniture, and marble tables decorate the flagship, which also features gilded metalwork, customized millwork fabrics, and exposed ceilings.
The first two floors of Ginza HAUS I house MCM’s seasonal collection, RTW, and footwear for men and women, while the third floor serves as a showroom and VIP lounge, complete with special collaborations and exclusive capsules. The fourth and fifth floors are experience driven, detailing the brand’s deep heritage in innovation. The fourth floor also calls home to a café dedicated to natural ingredients and organic produce. Here, customers can relax and unwind. The fifth floor also acts as a gallery space featuring a multimedia presentation. Furthermore, the sixth floor is an additional exhibition space dedicated to performances.
Located at 3-5-4 Ginza, Cho-Ku, Tokyo, Japan 104-0061
