The five-star M by Montcalm Shoreditch London Tech City is located a three-minute walk from Old Street tube station on City Road. The 18 storey building’s futuristic façade was heavily influenced by the work of ‘Op-Art’ pioneer Bridget Riley, particularly ‘Nataraja’ (1993), now part of the Tate Collection. The building is one of the first in the world to absorb a horizontal transom on the façade.
The M by Montcalm Shoreditch includes 269 rooms and suites., each with a contemporary design aimed at the business traveller. Each room features from Elemis and Hermès, rain showers, Bose speakers and tablets to control the lights, sound, temperature and order room service.
There are two restaurants, both with renowned chefs from Michelin-starred kitchens. Searcy’s are launching an exciting new restaurant at the hotel called Tonic & Remedy. Created by chef Paul Welburn, the restaurant takes inspiration from Shoreditch’s history with apothecary and will use an abundance of herbs, spices and wine in its food and cocktails.
Guests staying in Club rooms and VIP guests can access an exclusive club on the 16th floor to hold meetings, work and relax in, with food and drink from the 17th floor restaurant’s menu.
Conference and meeting facilities come with the capacity for a 200-person reception, and M Spa contains a swimming pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and a gym.
