The release of the first Louis Vuitton x NBA capsule collection by Virgil Abloh has been one of the most highly anticipated of this year. Needless to say, it’s an exclusive range of men’s apparel, both sportswear and dressy items, footwear, travel gear, and jewellery pieces, all bearing both the NBA logo and Louis Vuitton markings.
In celebration of the collection, a section of the Louis Vuitton menswear boutique at Tokyo‘s Miyashita Park shopping centre has transformed into a full-fledged LV x NBA pop-up store. Signalling from afar, are the pop-up store’s window installations.
White monograms are plastered onto the windows, offset by backdrops in red and blue, the colours of the NBA. Upon entering, shoppers are greeted by a large basketball visual, flanked by a basketball court-inspired setting, replete with realistic basketball goals, ball racks, NBA official balls, lockers and chairs.
