Accor welcomes Omer Acar as newly appointed CEO Raffles Hotels & Orient Express. A respected leader with an impressive background in luxury hospitality, Omer is set to bring his wealth of experience and expertise to the iconic and legendary Raffles Hotels & Resorts and ORIENT EXPRESS brands.
Omer’s journey to this position began at Four Seasons Hotels, where he started his career in various operational positions before moving on to serve as Group Director of Food & Beverage at Harrods in England. He then took on the role of General Manager of the Ritz Paris before joining Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris in the same capacity.
Most recently, he served as Managing Director for Europe and the Americas at Katara Hospitality, where he oversaw 18 hotels including The Plaza in New York, Peninsula in Paris, Carlton Cannes, Excelsior in Rome, Grosvenor House and The Savoy in London.
Already having begun his new role in Paris, Omer will be relocating to New York to enhance Accor’s recognition in the United States. He will additionally assume responsibility for representing the Group on the North American market and will report directly to Sébastien Bazin.
