Pan Pacific Hotel London will be housed within a 43-storey high-rise mixed use property which will include residential and hospitality development – 160 luxury apartments and a 237 key luxury hotel.
The hotel, designed by Yabu Pushelberg, will feature a meeting and events space, including a double-height ballroom, the Square Mile’s first dedicated ballroom, which will be able to host a banquet for up to 370 guests. The property is also set to have a fourth-floor pool, spa and fitness centre.
Pan Pacific is one of two hotel brands owned by Singaporean property group UOL, in conjunction with its wholly owned hotel subsidiary Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG). Pan Pacific Hotels Group has a portfolio of nearly 40 upscale hotels, resorts and serviced suites in Asia Pacific and North America. The Pan Pacific London will be the group’s first in the UK.
Planning permission was originally granted for the development in 2011 to Heron International with plans to incorporate a third London Four Seasons hotel. However, Heron International sold the site to the UOL Group in 2014 for a reported £97m and the plans were shelved.
According to several sources Pan Pacific Hotels is also involved in discussions for a downtown luxury hotel with 440 keys.
