Prada has opened a new store in Mexico City inside the prestigious ‘El Palacio de Hierro’ department store. The new store covers a total area of approximately 615 square metres spread over three floors and houses the women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and footwear collections.
El Palacio de Hierro dates back to 1891 and was conceived to rival department stores in Paris, New York and London. Fire destroyed the original building in 1914 and the current Art Nouveau structure opened in 1920.
This is the fifth Prada store in Mexico, with two stores operating in Cancun and Monterey.
