David Jones today has opened its the highly anticipated ground floor re-opening of their Elizabeth Street flagship store set to be Sydney’s new home to the world’s most sought-after luxury brands.
The luxury beauty and designer accessory destination has revealed bespoke new ‘store-in-store’ concept spaces for international accessory brands including Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, Loewe and Rimowa. Accompanying these designer accessories is an extensive range of luxury beauty counters from the likes of Chanel, Tom Ford, YSL, Giorgio Armani, plus the new-to-launch Gucci Beauty, and cult Australian skincare brand, Rationale.
Complementing the beauty concepts on the David Jones ground floor is a suite of three beauty treatment rooms for La Mer, La Prairie and Rationale, making the CBD location the ultimate beauty destination.
The ground floor refurbishment has sought to reclaim the historic grandeur of this unique space in Central Sydney while seamlessly blending the latest in contemporary store design. The notable repositioning of the 3.3 metre brass doors at each corner of the store’s Market Street façade creates a dramatic entrance to the store with access from the street in a way never seen before.
David Jones CEO, Ian Moir, said, “The opening of ground gloor is an exciting milestone in the redevelopment of the Elizabeth Street flagship. Beautiful product and amazing experience is at the heart of our offering and our new luxury beauty and designer accessories floor is an exceptional example of this at a scale previously unseen in Australia.”
Ground floor is the seventh floor to open as part of the Elizabeth Street store redevelopment, including the recent launch of the Australian and international designer womenswear floor on level three and the designer shoe floor on level seven. The completion of the 12-floor flagship refurbishment is set for April 2020.
