Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila is set to open this March at Bonifacio Global City (BGC), a Metro area development. The 576-room hotel, slated as one of the tallest buildings in the Philippines, will offer minimalist guestrooms and suites with marble accents, silk textiles in pale beige and ivory tones, light wood paneling, as well as city and bay views. Spacious Deluxe rooms will range in size from approximately 484 to 506 square feet, while four specialty suites will be named after Philippine islands and include Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and Manila. Guestroom corridors will feature fabric wall panels embroidered with jusi, a fabric woven from locally sourced pineapple fibers.
The hotel will manage seven of the 14 F&B outlets, while independent operators will head the other half. Hotel dining and bar concepts will include Samba, a poolside South American restaurant and bar on level eight; the Asian-inspired Canton Road; the Raging Bull Chophouse and Bar; Raging Bull Burgers; High Street Cafe, a modern food hall; High Street Lounge; and Limitless, a two-level bar.
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts will manage all lifestyle components.
The LEED Gold-certified building will include Kerry Sports Manila, a lifestyle and leisure club with more than 86,111 square feet of space, located on levels five and six, that includes 10 treatment rooms, tennis and squash courts, an NBA-grade indoor basketball court, and a children’s Adventure Zone with party rooms.
Inspired by a jewelry box, meeting space will encompass the approximately 19,375-square-foot Grand Ballroom and 21 event spaces—each outfitted with chandeliers modeled after necklaces and wall panels that resemble brooches.
A series of 36 luxury retail outlets will wrap around the building complex, with the majority located on floor 62 in the west tower. In addition to 98 private Horizon Homes, a collection of 97 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment-style Shangri-La Residences will be available.
