Japanese based Shiseido Group says it wants to give priority to geographic regions where it is already present significantly, mainly Asia. However, Decleor and Carita brands for beauty salons, spas and other places of body and hair care, do not fall within the basic framework on which Shiseido wants to focus its resources, even if the Japanese group does not have the intention to abandon the market of products for professionals.
Decleor and Carita, however, are considered by L’Oréal as two beautiful popular brands in Beauty Salons, particularly in Western Europe. According to the French group, being complementary, they each have good prospects of international development.
With this assignment, Shiseido expects to record an extraordinary gain of 14 billion yen (100 million euros) on its results for the financial year starting April 1.
