Opened in 2022, Six Senses Crans-Montana is an all-year-round luxury resort with ski-in, ski-out access from the south-facing pistes during the winter season, and a wide array of culinary, cultural, and sporting experiences all year round. Conveniently situated on the final turn of the Chetzeron piste by the main Crans gondola, the Wild Cabin Terrace hosts one of the best après-ski. The complex also includes luxury serviced residences. The Spa is undoubtedly the biggest attraction of the resort.
Wild Cabin is the all-day-dining venue of the hotel, open seven days a week. Byakko provides an Japanese Omakase discovery experience, open for dinner only. Mention must be made about the property’s overall commitment to sustainable development through its Eat With Six Senses philosophy. Located on the fifth level of the hotel, Ora Bar & Lounge offers a variety of drinks and snacks. For cigar lovers, we offer a dedicated area to enjoy cigars and the finest cognacs overlooking the slopes.
The 2,000-square-meter Six Senses Spa offers post-ski recovery and relaxation. The thermal journey includes four saunas and a cold plunge. Two therapists soothe tired limbs in the Stretch Pod. Locally inspired treatments include such delights as the 120-minute Journey to Restore and nourishing Swiss Chocolate Wrap. The Biohack Recovery Lounge is a must-try for massage loungers, muscle recovery, and ski-burned skin soothing.
Interactive workshops at the Alchemy Bar focus on the healing properties of natural ingredients to create fresh, seasonal, and organic scrubs, creams, masks, and balms. But do not miss the expansive heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The indoor pool opens onto a courtyard planted with Birch trees and the suspended timber ceiling has been designed to lead you in one organic movement from the inside out. At the center of the complex are a rooftop swimming pool, Alpine garden, and an open-air cinema.
With 300 days of sunshine a year, guests are invited to embrace the snowy adventures. Six Senses Crans-Montana goes above and beyond to cater to ski enthusiasts. Its slope-side setting offers immediate access to more than 140 kilometers of ski runs and a variety of slopes ranging from beginner to expert, and even a World Cup run.
From personalized equipment fittings to insider tips on the best trails, the concierge team ensures that every moment on the slopes is tailored to guests’ preferences. The winter adventures extend beyond the slopes as there are also opportunities for winter hiking, ice skating, ice hockey, and curling.
In the summer months, there are hiking and mountain biking trails right from the door, with paragliding offering the best views of the valley. Top-level golf can also be found at the famous Severiano Ballesteros 18-hole, Jack Nicklaus 9-hole, and esteemed Crans-sur-Sierre golf club, which has played host to some of the world’s finest golfers. Yoga and skiing are a match made in the mountains. Teachers will support guests to greater flexibility, strength, and relaxation, incorporating yoga, fitness preparation, biohacking, and sound healing recovery.
This six-day transformative wellness journey merges modern science with holistic rejuvenation to guide guests towards revitalization and rebalance. Included in the offer are two wellness screenings and nutritional consultations; yoga and meditation; spa treatments including exfoliation, algae wraps, and detox massages; assisted stretching and personalized biohacking sessions.
Sustainability is paramount for Six Senses. The sawdust pellet heating system uses recovered wood waste to produce heat, while recuperating excess heat from the kitchens, spa, and technical spaces. All the electricity needs are met by renewable Swiss hydroelectricity, in addition to our south-facing solar panels. To ensure healthy air for our guests and hosts, our MERV-13 filtration system ensures exceptional indoor air quality, and our pool filtration system is fitted with UV and active carbon filters, reducing the need for chemicals by up to 50 percent.
Six Senses Crans-Montana’s Sustainability Fund, financed by 0.5 percent hotel revenue and Charlotte la Marmotte sales, supports diverse local environmental and social projects. The Earth Lab is a space of innovation, featuring fun and quirky, zero-waste workshops easily emulated back home, from upcycled candles made from used kitchen oil, to flying seed bombs used to rewild our natural habitats.
There is room for improvement in regards to service (reception, guest relations, food & beverage). I am certain the property will be conducing some renovations and a redesign to the reception area and the bar as well as the all-day-dining restaurant which require a significant update – the look & feel is slightly less luxurious than the rest of the public spaces.
