Luxury British brand Smythson celebrates its 130th anniversary with the opening of a new flagship store at 131-132 New Bond Street, London. The move sees the iconic brand return to the company’s original location on London’s Bond Street 130 years ago in 1887.
It marks the seventh location the brand has held on ‘The Street’, as it was named by the company’s founder Frank Smythson. British architectural design practice Waldo Works created the 2600 square-foot boutique in the Grade II Listed Arts and Crafts building.
The interior combines the building’s historic architecture with modern accents, reflecting the company’s forward-thinking design vision while respecting the brand’s rich heritage.
The boutique features a Collection Hall, Library, Personalisation area and Bespoke Salon. As the company’s flagship, this variety of ‘experiences’ under one roof helps to reinforce brand identity as well as offer the widest possible range of products and services.
