“Sra Bua by Tim Raue”, the recently opened restaurant at Hotel Adlon Kempinski, Berlin. The gastronomic concept developed by the Kempinski Group combines the multifaceted diversity of Asian cuisine with the distinct culinary signature of one of Europe’s top chefs, a chef who has been awarded two Michelin stars and 19 Gault Millau points in Berlin’s legendary luxury hotel: Tim Raue.
Born in Berlin, Tim Raue runs the “Restaurant Tim Raue” near Checkpoint Charlie together with his wife Marie-Anne. In the “Sra Bua by Tim Raue”, he is responsible for the entire culinary concept which will be implemented by Head Chef, Daniel Lengsfeld.
The “Sra Bua by Tim Raue” is now the fourth “Sra Bua” restaurant established by the Kempinski Hotel Group. The concept was first implemented in the Siam Kempinski Hotel in Bangkok. The restaurant in Bangkok receives its inspiration from the renowned Danish chef Henrik Yde-Andersen from Restaurant Kiin Kiin in Copenhagen. “Sra Bua” restaurants are also located in the Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol in Jochberg and the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains in St. Moritz – and there are plans for more to follow.
“Sra Bua” is the Thai word for lotus pond and is therefore symbolic representation of various Asian cultures; the calm, the serenity and the gaiety which you associate with this continent. At Kempinski, “Sra Bua” stands for an atmosphere, a name and a place where an outstanding European chef can reinterpret the culinary culture of Asia.
