Scheduled to open in the first half of 2014, The St. Regis Istanbul will be situated in the upscale shopping district of Nisantasi. The hotel which will be managed under a long term third party agreement by Starwood’s St Regis Hotels & Resorts is being developed by Demsa Group, one of the largest premium and luxury retailers in Turkey, which operates in licensing two Harvey Nichols department stores and several international luxury fashion brands under franchising agreements. Demas also operates the Pera Palace Hotel which is managed by Jumeirah.
Designed by award-winning Turkish architect Emre Arolat, the new-build St Regis Istanbul will overlook Maçka Park and the Bosphorus. The St. Regis Istanbul will feature 118 rooms, of which four suites will feature custom interiors by world-renowned designers, as well as an exceptional presidential suite spanning approximately 2,000 square feet.
Food & Beverage offerings at the hotel include a brasserie-style restaurant which is set to become the new social and meeting address in Nisantasi, a rooftop restaurant with spectacular views and a lobby barl. The hotel will also feature a spa, fitness center, as well as a business center, meeting rooms and a ballroom.
Starwood currently operates nine hotels in Turkey under five of its distinct lifestyle brands, including four hotels in Istanbul – Sheraton Istanbul Maslak Hotel, Sheraton Istanbul Atakoy Hotel, W Istanbul and Le Méridien Istanbul Etiler.
