Hôtel Plaza Athénée will introduce its first ever ‘World of Enchantment’ from Sunday, November 27, 2016 to Thursday, January 5, 2017. Located on the first floor, the hotel will display a charming exhibition in partnership with leading French doll brand Corolle. Easily recognisable for their pretty faces, grace, elegance and vanilla scent, the Corolle “Snow Treasure” dolls are on every little girl’s Christmas wish-list. This year, the new executive head pastry chef Angelo Musa will unveil a delicious Christmas Yule Log with a milk chocolate coating, a light hazelnut and vanilla cream filling, and a crispy hazelnut biscuit centre. Guests can take a luxurious taste of Hôtel Plaza Athénee and enjoy this delightful Yule Log at home.
The Yule Log is available to purchase from Thursday, December 1, 2016, at €90 (approx. £77) and serves up to eight people.
Guests visiting Le Meurice this Christmas can enjoy a delightful package which includes luxurious accommodation in a room or suite with breakfast and delicious in-room treats, including chocolate sweets from the Manufacture de Chocolat by Alain Ducasse and a bottle of champagne. To celebrate the festive season, pastry chef Cédric Grolet will unveil a Hazelnut Chocolate Yule Log, an original, indulgent creation inspired by his flagship product. Drawing on the classic flavour combination of hazelnut and chocolate, the yule log will delight fans of all ages. Beneath a cloak of gold-brushed chocolate hides a roll of soft sponge and a melted caramel centre. A final crunch of crushed hazelnuts in a feather-light mousse completes the delicious gastronomic experience.

The Dorchester has recently unveiled a gingerbread replica of the hotel alongside a children’s Sweet Emporium. The Gingerbread Hotel, a creation dreamt up by the hotel’s executive chef Henry Brosi, measures approximately 180cm in length, 150cm in height, 95cm in width and weighs 150kg. This spectacular creation brings to life elements of The Dorchester’s character, including The Penthouse and Pavillion designed by Oliver Messel, The Grill at The Dorchester, and the hotel’s famous afternoon tea setting, The Promenade.
