The Gwen, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Chicago has debuted earlier this week, replacing the former Conrad Chicago in the historic McGraw-Hill building.
Owned by DiamondRock Hospitality Company and managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, the Gwen is the first hotel in Chicago to be included in Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ The Luxury Collection brand.
Located in a rare landmark building featuring Art Deco architecture, the Gwen takes after Gwen Lux—a Chicago-born sculptress and pioneer—and honors “the grandeur and glamour of the Chicago in the 1930s,”
The luxury property, located in downtown Chicago with direct access to upscale boutiques along the Magnificent Mile shopping district, focuses on personalized service, while also adding a Prohibition Porter mixologist, an Artist’s Table dining experience and terraces that look out on the Chicago skyline.
